Nadim Siddiqui goes from privileged entrepreneur to penniless Jew-hater.

Nadim Siddiqui’s life has gone through a dramatic shift, from ambitious entrepreneur with political connections and an attractive girlfriend to a poverty-stricken and raving anti-Semite with repeated arrests and no one to turn to. What happened to Siddiqui that he would experience such a major downfall? This article examines the possible causes.
The scene was a Miami-Dade courtroom. Nadim Benjamin Siddiqui stood dressed in a red prison shirt, as he listened to Judge Renatha Francis sentence him to house arrest in addition to a $25,000 bond. His crime: threatening Jewish establishments. When the judge stated that Siddiqui was alleged to have “targeted Jews,” a quick and menacing smile came over Siddiqui’s face. [As of this writing, Siddique has not posted bond and remains in prison.]
Within a very short period of time, Siddiqui has been arrested on at least three separate occasions.
On October 14th, Siddiqui walked into Kosher Kingdom, an Aventura, Florida grocery store that caters to the Jewish community, grabbed a bottle of wine, and smashed it on the floor. There is clear surveillance video of the incident. The police issued him a trespass warning. When he showed up again, on October 28th, he was arrested and charged with criminal mischief for the previous incident and trespassing.
Then, on October 30th, Siddiqui walked into Kosher Kingdom, took a carton of eggs, threw one egg at the store’s window, and dumped the rest of the carton at the store’s front entrance. Once more, he was arrested and charged, this time, with criminal mischief, trespassing and littering. According to the store’s manager, Siddiqui, as well, yelled anti-Semitic slurs outside the Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center, which is just up the street from the store.
And on December 4th, as stated by the Miami-Dade Police Department, Siddiqui “deliberately knocked down and damaged a menorah in the lobby of a building.” An arrest warrant was obtained for what the police described as “the enhanced charges related to Nadim Siddiqui’s prejudice motivated crimes.” Siddiqui was taken into custody at his Hollywood home.
Siddiqui’s trouble with the law didn’t just start in South Florida. It was actually a continuation of what was taking place with him in his previous home of Chicago, Illinois. He twice was arrested in January 2016, once for arson and once for trespassing. And he was again arrested in July 2017 for trespassing.
But Siddiqui’s Chicago experience wasn’t all bad. Indeed, his life prior to these arrests was the exact opposite of what it is today. He certainly didn’t have the “indigent” status he has been given for his most recent criminal cases.
In April 2013, he posted on his Facebook page formal photos of himself, his father and his uncle each with then-President Barack Obama, at the Hilton Chicago Grand Ballroom. [He later made his photo with President Obama his Facebook ‘Profile Picture.’] Two days earlier, he posted a photo of himself dressed in a suit and shaking hands with then-Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley.
Siddiqui donated (an aggregate total of) $434.70 to the ‘Hillary for America’ Hillary Clinton Presidential victory fund. [Ironic that one of the donations was reported to have come in January 2016, after Siddiqui’s arson arrest.]
Siddiqui described himself on Facebook as “Entrepreneur/Business Owner.” He was the Regional Manager of a property management company. He posted about investing in stocks. In August 2013, he wrote, “Filing corporate taxes is so much fun!” In September 2013, he wrote, “$10M before 40. Everything else takes a backseat.” He was still young at 30, he had an attractive girlfriend, and he was beaming with confidence.
So what happened to cause such a downward spiral? Was it about Siddiqui’s family?
Siddiqui’s participation in politics came through his family’s involvement. His father (or uncle) Tariq (Mohammad Tariq Siddiqui) was a big fundraiser for President Obama. In 2008, when then-United States Senator Obama was running for President, Tariq served as a money ‘bundler’ for Obama's campaign raising over $50,000.
Tariq, as well, in 2004, was instrumental in providing Obama with office space for his campaign. The office space was at Sunrise Equities, a real estate development firm where Tariq was a partner. In 2008, Salman Ibrahim, chief executive officer of Sunrise, and Mohammad Akbar Zahid, senior vice president of investor relations, fled the US with $80 million of investors’ money and bank loans – the culmination of a ‘Shariah Compliant’ Ponzi scheme run out of Sunrise and targeting the Pakistani and Indian Muslim communities.
Tariq has also allegedly been involved in mortgage fraud, foreclosure equity stripping and theft. When it came to scandals, Nadim Siddiqui had who to learn from.
Or were Siddiqui’s problems about his religion?
Prior to his private war with Jews, Siddiqui did not give off the appearance of being overtly religious. But there were clues.
Siddiqui began to grow a thin beard. When he talked about growing a “stash,” his cousin (or sister), Naila, who like him was originally from Munich, Germany and currently lives in South Florida, jokingly told Siddiqui’s girlfriend, Emily, who is now married with a child, to “shave it while he’s sleeping.”
Siddiqui zealously expressed his feelings against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. In August 2013, he wrote, “Hang al-assad by the balls and let him fall into a ditch. Then all the refugee children should piss on his grave. Peice of shit maggot. Fuckin’ coward.”
One of Siddiqui’s 19 Facebook friends, a Muslim fundamentalist named Hasham Faridi, in October 2013, had communicated with him. The two attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, at the same time.
In May 2013, Faridi complained, “We have foresaken the Islamic culture and accepted Western culture.” He later proclaimed, “Islam will dominate the world.” In July 2013, he wrote, “ask ALLAH to remove those kuffaar from our lands, ask ALLAH to let their blood run in the streets of Faloojah, ask ALLAH to let their blood run in the mountains of Afghanistan, let the Mujahideen kill & destroy them one after the other.”
Faridi has called on Muslim males to “follow Sunnah correctly” and grow out their beards. This past November, he posted that “ONE OF THE SIGN THAT YOU LOVE PROPHET MUHAMAD IS YOUR BEARD.” And while, like Siddiqui, Faridi has cursed Bashar Assad, he has praised Ibn al-Khattab, the al-Qaeda-related Chechen terror leader, as “Lion of Islam!!!” and he has promoted the banned Hizb-ut-Tahrir that calls Jews “evil” and wants gays dead. Faridi too has targeted Jews and homosexuals with extreme hate.
So was it Siddiqui’s corrupt family or Siddiqui’s radical friends who were the catalysts for his downward spiral from a well-to-do entrepreneur to a fanatical bigot hell bent on terrorizing Jews.
Regardless of the reason, Nadim Siddiqui is a danger to the community, and it is this author’s prayer – a Jewish prayer – that he stays behind bars for a very long time.

The Islamist Terrorist as
Psychopath
There are basic interrelated questions
that any student of human history must ask. Why is human history filled with so
much evil, and why do good people so often do nothing in the face of evil?
Jamie Glazov’s new book, Jihadist Psychopath: How He Is Charming, Seducing,
and Devouring Us, addresses that troubling question.
The answer that he comes up with in Jihadist
Psychopath is a collusion that is not born only of simple radicalism,
but of the ways in which Islamic political movements play on our own emotional
weaknesses.
Jihadist Psychopath is a journey into the dark heart of
the Western world using the metaphor of the interplay between the psychopath
and his victims. That metaphor pervades Glazov’s text, structuring his
understanding of the growing terror death toll and the accompanying sympathy
for the terrorists.
Glazov, who has a BA in Political Science
and a PhD in History, had already made a study of Islamic terrorists. To
prepare for the writing of Jihadist Psychopath, he also made a
study of the most fascinating and deadliest element in the criminal life of societies:
the psychopath. Human societies are bound together by empathy. Multiculturalism
and diversity stretch and expand our sense of empathy to its limits. The
psychopath plays on our sense of empathy despite lacking any empathy of his or
her own.
The uses and abuses of empathy by the
psychopath and the Islamic terrorist are a major focus of Jihadist
Psychopath. Islamic terrorists take advantage of the empathy bonds that
multicultural societies use to bind diverse populations together into a single
functional entity whose members cooperate and even sacrifice for the benefit of
the group, without ever sharing in that sense of mutual responsibility.
Like psychopaths, Glazov argues, Islamic
terrorists create the illusion of a mutual relationship while viciously
exploiting and eventually destroying their victims by degrees. These victims
can be the individuals, the women who marry Islamic terrorists only to be used
by them to obtain legal status or to birth new Jihadists, but they are the
microcosm of our larger society which is also being charmed, seduced, and
destroyed by an ideology that turns our own values and our sense of self
against us.
“Once he succeeds in lodging his hooks
into his target’s body, he inflicts the key wound, convincing him that he (the
victim) is the actual offender and guilty party, and that the psychopath is the
actual victim,” Glazov writes.
The exchange of roles between perpetrator
and victim is crucial to the predation of weaker societies on stronger
societies. As predatory plants mimic the appearance of the prey of their
victims, the Jihadist appears to resemble a victim of Western civilization, of
colonialism, capitalism, and imperialism, turning guilt and grief into the
aphrodisiac of his monstrous appetite, before entrapping his civilizational
victim.
Victimhood is the protective coloration of
the psychopathic predator, both in his familiar role as the demon haunting a
thousand crime stories, thrillers, and action movies, and the less familiar
guise of CAIR, ISNA, and countless other Muslim Brotherhood front groups who
defend the predation of terrorists by reinventing them as the victims of the
very people whom they are killing and destroying.
And yes, the victims are neither truly
helpless nor innocent. As the con artist exploits greed, the psychopath’s swollen
sense of self-regard feeds upon the narcissism of his victims.
As Glazov notes in Jihadist
Psychopath, “It is crucial to emphasize that many victims in the con game
possess a tremendous narcissism, since in needing to believe that they are part
of the script and can actually change it, they incubate a pathological and
self-destructive ego.”
The boundless narcissism of the Left,
which convinces its true believers that their beverage choices and their menu
options can save or destroy the planet, that even their pettiest actions and
emotional states are deeply meaningful signifiers of great and terrible changes
in the world, makes it absurdly easy for the Islamist psychopath, who offers
the illusion of saving them and himself, to hook them on his line.
The Left hungers for victims to justify
its inflated sense of self-importance and its greed for power. Islamists
exploit their messianic delusions by playing the victims in need of rescuing.
The Islamist psychopath validates the twisted psychology of his radical victims
only to destroy his rescuers.
This same psychodrama has played out in
Iran, in Egypt, in the United Kingdom, and the United States. When the
alliances unravel, as they finally must, the socialist utopia instead becomes
the caliphate.
Jihadist Psychopath is an invaluable resource for
understanding and coming to grips with the human drama behind the headlines and
the radical emotions behind the radical march of political events. It gets at
the unacknowledged truth behind the political psychodramas of the Left, the
narcissistic notion that even the most destructive behaviors can feel good
because they make us feel good about who we are.
“Who we are” was the theme of a
number of Obama speeches. It is no coincidence that the politician who most
definitively straddled the cultural divide between Islam and the Left, while
uniting them politically in their mutual hatred of the United States of
America, could never get enough of telling us who we are.
The core of Jihadist Psychopath lies
in the conflict of identities, the slow sonorous clash of civilizations between
a West that is losing its sense of self and an East that is regaining it, and
between former conquerors losing their religion and renewed conquerors
regaining it, between monsters and victims.
“Islamic supremacism crushes all
individuality within itself. Its members cannot have their own identity or
beliefs, nor can they explore or nurture their own happiness or talents,” Jamie
Glazov writes.
And those same Islamic supremacists use
their conviction in the inferiority of the individual to destroy the identities
of their victims, temporarily adopting their borrowed identities as camouflage,
mirroring their victims, gaining their confidence, abusing them, destroying
their sense of self, and killing them.
Jihadist Psychopath is a compelling look at the process
by which the West is losing its life and its soul.

The United States at the Point of No Return

There is an unquestioned disconnect between the vast majority of the American people and the so-called elites or ruling class. Whenever I am in the company of those that are members of this exclusive fraternity, and when the conversation inevitably turns to the subject of the irascible mood of the electorate, I offer what I consider to be a valid theory as to one of the primary reasons why. That is: a plurality of the populace, myself included, firmly believe the United States is approaching the point of no return to its founding as a nation of individual freedom and opportunity, and that the 2016 election is the most significant in 150 years insofar as determining the long term fate of the country.
More often than not these acquaintances react as if Chicken Little had just escaped the asylum and was running amok claiming the sky is falling. However, in an effort to be kind to the loon in their midst, I have been told, as a figurative pat on the head, because of my personal background as displaced war orphan from World War II that I am hypersensitive and what is going on in America really isn’t as bad as I claim.
Not as bad as I claim?
Not since the presidential election of 1932 has the American electorate been so mired in discontent. Despite the best efforts of the media to portray this discontentment as limited to the Republican base, a variety of polls have confirmed a vast majority of the populace shares this same sense of disgruntlement. Innumerable polls taken over the past seven years are consistent in showing nearly 7 in 10 Americans believing the nation is headed in the wrong direction.
Further, nearly 60% think that the next generation will be worse off than they are. And few have any faith that the economic outlook for the country will improve in the near or distant future.
Beginning in the late 1980’s, the cognoscenti declared that expansive government spending, globalization and free trade, combined with a comprehensive and overarching regulatory regime determined to root out so-called corruption and inequality as well as save the planet from the over blown evils of global warming, would be the course the nation should pursue. The result of this foolhardy and myopic scheme:
1. In 1988 the national debt of the United States stood at $2.6 Trillion, today it is over $19.0 Trillion-- an increase of 635% (and projected to reach $29.0 Trillion by 2026). On the other hand the debt of all the nations on earth has grown by only 135% since 1988.
2. Since November of 2008 the working age population has increased by over 18 million. However, the number of those employed has increased just 5.5 million. Meanwhile those unemployed or no longer in the work force has ballooned by 12.4 million to a staggering total of 102 million or 40.4% of the working age population.
3. Another factor impacting on the economic health of the American people is immigration. In 1988 there were 16 million immigrants (including less than a million illegal aliens) living in the United States. Today that number has skyrocketed to 42.4 million (including an estimated 12 million illegal aliens). This enormous increase (165%) in the immigrant population has not only put pressure on a stagnant job market but it has also been a major factor in the decline of median income in the country.
4. The upshot of all the above is that since 1988 the income of the top 5% has risen 39.3% (adjusted for inflation) and the income of the bottom 50% has fallen by 1.9%.
5. Since 2008 the Obama cabal has added over 18,000 pages to the Code of Federal Regulations. It is estimated that complying with federal regulations costs the economy nearly $2 Trillion per year and is, along with taxes and innumerable mandates, one of the principle reasons for the lack of new business start-ups and loss of jobs to other countries.
One of the primary hallmarks of the United States had been that of a classless society wherein economic factors allowed the citizenry to take advantage of the marketplace in order to move up or down based on their efforts and willingness to work. However, this scenario is disappearing as the opportunities for upward mobility cease to exist. In its place a class driven society, similar to all other quasi-socialist nations past and present, is now becoming inevitable as even the Bureau of Labor Statistics admits that the level of Americans working and in the labor force will continue to decrease over the next 8 years.
Another of the primary factors in the decline of the United States is that the nation’s elites, rather than view education as the means for the people to attain success in a competitive world, have recast it into a vehicle for their pet theories and political views. Whether it is the promulgation of faux self-esteem, the obsession with the so-called evils of capitalism and the nation’s past, and the theoretical joys of socialism among other inane curricula, the education establishment has assured that the American people are rapidly becoming among the least well-educated populations in the world.
In 2013 American 15 year olds ranked 32nd among industrialized countries in math, 20th in reading and 24th in science. In 1988 this same age group ranked among the top 5-10 nations in the world in these same categories. Further, recent polls have indicated that as a byproduct of the radicalized education establishment, nearly 7 out of 10 between the ages of 18 and 29 would vote for an avowed socialist. Thus it is clear that the future of the country is on very shaky ground.
As for the issue of freedom: in a recent analysis it was determined that the United States now ranks 12th among the nations of the world in economic freedom (6thin 2008) but a dismal 31st in personal freedom (17th in 2008). The authors of the study commented:
The decline reflects the long-term drop in every category of economic freedom and its rule of law indicators. The US performance is worrisome and shows that the US can no longer claim to be the leading bastion of liberty in the world. In addition to the expansion of the regulatory state and drop in economic freedom, the war on terror, the war on drugs and the erosion of property rights due to a greater use of eminent domain all likely contributed to the US decline.
Using the cudgel of the mainstream media, the entertainment complex and the education establishment, the Left and its surrogate, the Democratic Party, have successfully inculcated into a plurality of the American people a belief that there are no moral absolutes and that the state can grant any rights that it so chooses to whomever it chooses. Further, the nation’s founding documents are arcane, racially insensitive, and unsuitable for today. Thus religious liberty, property rights and freedom of speech are under aggressive assault. The Judiciary is now almost under the complete control of these same statists, and with the death of Justice Scalia the last line of defense, the Supreme Court, is in peril.
The vast majority of the American people sense that the future of the nation and that of their progeny is in serious jeopardy. However, one of the most troubling aspects of the current unease and angst among the general public is what this portends: when anger and frustration evolve into deep seated passion, reason is too often a casualty. As Thomas Sowell recently wrote:
Too many nations, in desperate times, especially after the authorities have discredited themselves and forfeited the trust of the people, have turned to some new and charismatic leader, who ended up turning a dire situation into an utter catastrophe,
This has been true throughout history whether in England in the 1650’s, France in the 1790’s, or Russia, Italy and Germany in the 20th century.
In the current campaign for the next president, there are candidates attempting to tap into the ire of the citizenry by either promising that a purer form of socialism will magically solve the problems or by claiming that they, by sheer force of their will and personality, will part the seas and save the nation. Unfortunately, due to the ill-education of the populace as well as their angst, far too many seeds of this demagoguery are falling on fertile ground. The election of any of these candidates will only exacerbate and make permanent the nations woes.
So to my ruling class friends safely ensconced in Washington, New York and other enclaves among the like-minded and wealthy, this nation is at the point of no return to the country of freedom and opportunity that allowed you to be where you are. The folks in fly-over country know it and so should you.
