OBAMA'S FICTION - THE STARK NON-FICTION IS THAT BARACK OBAMA IS ONE OF THE GREATEST THREATS AMERICA HAS EVER ENDURED

When President Obama was elected, he pledged to remake America.  It is a shame he did so much damage to the fabric of America in eight short years.  The Obama/Biden was the most corrupt, criminal administration any of us has ever seen, yet the media cheered or covered up all the abuse of  power, obstruction of Justice and other crimes.

You are exactly right. The publishing company who paid the Obamas their big book deal is owned by Bertelsmann, who also has the Bertelsmann Foundation in Wash, D.C. and has been paying Obama since he was elected to the Senate. The Foundation also celebrated him back in 2012 in Berlin, Germany; contributors include... Asia Society, Embassy of Germany, Google, and the Open Society Foundation (George Soros). Speaking of Foundations, Chicago just signed over 'Public Park Property' on Lake Michigan to “The Obama Foundation” (a private entity). It’s a massive giveaway of park property on the National Register of Historic Places. “Protect Our Parks” filed a lawsuit and fought the giveaway, the Obama appointed Judge ruled in Obama’s favor.

Did Obama Plagiarize the Kenya Section of Dreams?

A surreal journey into historical fictions.

Reprinted from The American Spectator.

In June, the memoir of veteran publisher and editor Peter Osnos, An Especially Good ViewWatching History Happenwas released with minimal fanfare. Although he sanitizes his experience as the publisher of Barack Obama’s Dreams from My Father, Osnos lets slip a detail that could transform Obama’s reputation from “the best writer to occupy the White House since Lincoln” to the best plagiarist to occupy the White House before Biden.

First, the sanitation. In a 2006 article, Osnos publicly scolded then-Sen. Obama for his “ruthlessness.” As Osnos recounted, hustling young agent Jane Dystel stuck by an unknown Obama even after he failed to honor a book contract with Simon & Schuster. Undaunted, Dystel landed Obama a new contract with Osnos, then the publisher of Times Books. The punch line of the 2006 article is that, after Dreams took off in 2004, Obama repaid Dystel by dumping her for a D.C. power attorney. Obama’s “questionable judgment about using public service as a personal payday” dismayed the openly liberal Osnos.

That was 2006. In his 2021 memoir, Osnos includes the details of the original book deal with Dystel, but he purges all traces of Obama’s venality. Off-handedly, however, he adds a potentially damning detail. In 1994 — note the date — Obama met with Osnos and Times Books editor Henry Ferris to set terms. Writes Osnos, “He was determined, he said, to finish the book, which would involve a trip to Kenya for research about his father, who had died there in a car accident.”

According to all official accounts, Obama made only two trips to Africa before his election to the Senate in 2004: the first one in 1988 recounted in Dreams and the second one with Michelle in 1992. The accounts about how Obama managed to research Kenya and finish off the book, however, are many and varied.

In his new memoir, A Promised Land, Obama offers no help. The only time Obama mentions Dreams from My Father by name is when he evokes Donald Trump’s challenge to its legitimacy. Otherwise, he reports he signed a contract “to write a book” and that he “finished my book,” and that was that.

Dreams has three major sections, the last involving Kenya. This is where the mischief begins. In his 2009 book, Barack and Michelle: Portrait of an American Marriage, celebrity biographer Christopher Andersen argues that Obama’s terrorist friend and neighbor Bill Ayers was the muse. Using basic literary forensics, I came to a similar conclusion about Ayers in the fall of 2008.

Relying on two sources in Chicago’s Hyde Park, Andersen comes to a credible understanding of how the Kenya section evolved. “To flesh out his family history, Barack had also taped interviews with Toot, Gramps, Ann, Maya, and his Kenyan relatives,” he writes. “These oral histories, along with his partial manuscript and a trunkload of notes, were given to Ayers.”

In his 2017 Obama biography, Rising Star, Pulitzer Prize–winning civil rights historian David Garrow points to Obama’s friend Rob Fisher, a white economist and law school buddy, as his muse. “I was deeply involved with helping him sort of shape it,” said Fisher who claimed to have “had a big influence” on the final product. Ayers and Fisher may have helped doctor the book independently. If either were involved, Obama’s boast on the campaign trail in 2008 — “I’ve written two books. I actually wrote them myself” — is pure puffery.

According to Garrow, Obama took six weeks off from his legal work in spring 1994 to finish the book. He was able to flesh out the Kenya portion thanks to copies of letters he sent during a Kenya trip in 1988 provided to Obama by an old girlfriend. “Michelle was ecstatic that the end of what was now a four-year-long struggle was finally in sight,” writes Garrow.

David Maraniss, also a Pulitzer Prize winner, offers still another sequence of events, one that tracks with the account by Osnos. As Maraniss relates in his biography, Barack Obama: The Story, the draft submitted to editor Henry Ferris at Crown did not include the lengthy final section of the book, the section that dealt with Kenya.

This material, writes Maraniss, came not from a girlfriend’s letters but from notes Obama made in his own journal during the 1988 trip to Kenya. “I almost transcribed my journal into the book,” Obama told Maraniss in a White House interview.

Maraniss had previously interviewed Ferris. According to Ferris, writes Maraniss, “Obama in fact traveled to Kenya a second time for further research before turning in the last part of the book.” The language here is clear. Obama traveled to Africa after the first submission of the book but before the final one.

In his Oval Office interview with Maraniss, Obama seems to have confirmed Ferris’s account:

I did take a second trip to Africa, but all the stuff that I learned about the family, that was all in the first trip. The second trip was essentially me doing more background on things like Kenyan history. That was as close as I came to fact-checking, was that second trip. But that initial narrative, that I did not compress, that all happened on the first trip.

Maraniss left a potentially revealing story on the table. In his report of the Oval Office interview, Obama makes no mention of Michelle accompanying him on the fact-checking trip. Besides, in 1992, when Michelle accompanied him to Kenya, Obama was still under contract with Simon & Schuster to write a book on race and voting rights.

There are a few possible explanations for this seeming mystery. An unlikely one is that Ferris and Osnos incorrectly recalled Obama’s alleged return trip to Kenya, and Obama compounded this lapse by confirming this trip in his interview with Maraniss.

A second possible explanation, intriguing but also unlikely, is that Obama did make a third trip to Kenya in 1994 and chose not to reveal it beyond his inner circle. In A Promised Land, Obama sheds no light on any of his trips to Kenya. When he mentions Kenya, it is usually to complain about conspiracy theorists claiming he was born there.

A third possibility, and the most likely, is that Obama misled Ferris about making a return trip to Kenya, possibly to show how serious he was about finishing the book and getting his facts straight. Instead of going to Africa, Obama may have spent his six-week leave from his law firm pillaging the memoirs of long-time Kenya resident Kuki Gallmann.

This is the thesis proposed by Shawn Glasco, a tireless researcher into all things Obama. Obama’s evasions about his Kenya research trip — and Osnos’s confirming detail — make Glasco’s theory all the more credible.

The Gallmann book that most intrigued Glasco was African Nights, conveniently published in 1994. Glasco found scores of words and concepts that reappear all but intact in Obama’s Dreams. Any number of distinctive local words and phrases show up in both books: Baobab (a tree), bhang (cannabis), boma (an enclosure), samosa (a fried snack), shamba (a farm field), liana (a vine), tilapia (a fish), kanga (a sheet of fabric), shuka (decorative sashes).

On the fashion front, both books have young women “wrapped” in their kangas and “dressed” in “rags.” The women in both books wear shukas, head shawls, head scarves, and goatskins, and they balance baskets on heads graced with “laughing” smiles.

On the animal front, men in both books spearfish in “ink-black” waters and hunt by torchlight. Elephants are seen “fanning” themselves, birds “trill,” insects “buzz,” weaver birds “nest,” and monkeys “mesmerize.” The books share a veritable Noah’s ark of additional fauna: crickets, crocodiles, starlings, dragonflies, cattle, lions, sand crabs, vultures, hyenas, “herds of gazelle,” and leopards that can hold small animals “in their jaws.”

On the flora front, the shared references are just as compelling: roadside palms, yellow grass, red bougainvillaea, pink bougainvillaea, fig trees, shady mango trees, thornbrush, banana leaves, Baobab trees, liana vines, tomatoes. The landscape, occasionally “barren,” is rich in “undulating” hills whose “grazing lands” are dotted with the occasional “watering hole.” The “mud-and-dung” houses feature “thatched” roofs, “verandas,” and “vegetable gardens.”

People seem to be carrying “straw mats” everywhere. The stars “glint” and people “waltz” underneath them. Eyes “glimmer” in the light of campfires. Children sing in “high-pitched” rhythms, and girls endure “barbaric” circumcisions. Obama, like Gallmann, travels to the Great Rift Valley and stands at its edge. Both visit the small trading town of Narok. Indeed, Gallmann may have played the role for Obama that British Labour party leader Neil Kinnock did for Joe Biden.

Not all these theories are mutually exclusive. Obama could have pulled some Kenya material from old letters, from notebooks, and from taped interviews. He could not, however, have pulled the many and specific details described above from any of these sources. Gallmann had spent more than 20 years in Kenya at the time she wrote African Nights. Obama had spent a few weeks before writing Dreams.

After his “four-year-long struggle,” Obama wrapped up the book almost effortlessly in late 1994, and it was published in July 1995. From their offices in New York, Osnos and Ferris would not have known just how Obama and friends in Chicago pulled this off. Given the insignificance of the project at the time, they would have taken Obama at his word that the book was nonfiction and that he wrote it himself.

As Garrow observes, however, Dreams “was not a memoir or an autobiography; it was instead, in multitudinous ways, without any question a work of historical fiction,” (italics mine). The remaining question is this: How much of this fiction did Obama write, and how much of it did he steal?

OBiden’s Promised Land

Identity fraud plus voter fraud equals tyranny.

Mon Nov 16, 2020

Lloyd Billingsley

Tuesday November 17, two weeks after the election, will mark the release of A Promised Landthe first of two volumes by former president Barack Obama. As he explains, the 768-page book will provide “an honest accounting” of his presidential campaign and thoughts on “how we can heal the divisions in our country going forward and make our democracy work for everybody.” If anybody thought the author still considers himself president of the United States it would be hard to blame them, and there’s a lot more going on here.

In late October, former vice president Joe Biden boasted of the most “extensive and inclusive” voter fraud campaign in American history. Democrats are banking on that massive voter fraud to win the day for a corrupt influence peddler less astute than a broken clock. The addled Biden would surely give way to Kamala Harris, already touting a “Harris administration,” but A Promised Land flags the real shot-caller. That invites a look back to the Democratic National Convention in 2004.

“My father was a foreign student, born and raised in a small village in Kenya,” Illinois state senator Barack Obama told the cheering crowd. “He grew up herding goats, went to school in a tin-roof shack. His father, my grandfather, was a cook, a domestic servant to the British.” The rousing speech prompted a new release of the 1995 Dreams from My Father.

The author moved on to the U.S. Senate and in 2008 was elected president of the United States then reelected in 2012. The president chose for his biographer David Garrow, the Pulitzer Prize winning author of Bearing the Cross and other books about Martin Luther King Jr. Garrow’s 2017 Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama dropped a bombshell revelation.

“Dreams from My Father was not a memoir or an autobiography; it was instead, in multitudinous ways, without any question a work of historical fiction (Garrow’s italics). It featured many true-to-life figures and a bevy of accurately described events that indeed had occurred, but it employed the techniques and literary license of a novel, and its most important composite character was the narrator himself.”

To spot-weld Garrow’s point, Dreams is a novel and the author was the first fictitious character to serve as president of the United States, the most powerful person in the world. Skeptics couldn’t check with the Kenyan Barack Obama, who died in 1982. As it happens, in all his written communications from 1958 to 1964, Barack Obama mentions nothing about an American wife and Hawaiian-born son.

Dreams from My Father includes more than 2,000 words about the poet “Frank,” as the author later acknowledged, Frank Marshall Davis, an African American Communist on the FBI’s security index and a pornographer to boot. As Garrow noted, Davis’ kinky exploits and Communist background made him radioactive, so if Barry Soetoro was going to be a rising star in politics, he needed a new narrative.

Davis duly disappeared from the audio version of Dreams and made no appearance in The Audacity of Hope. As Garrow explains, the Dreams author had strong disagreements with Rising Star, which failed to appear in 2018 books by Michelle Obama and Ben Rhodes. Readers might check if it shows up in A Promised Land. The erudite Garrow aside, any unhypnotized reader could easily peg Dreams as fiction.

The book has no index, no photos, and the fakery leaps off the page. Even so, critics swallowed it whole and journalists smeared skeptics as “birthers,” a charge that traces back to Hillary Clinton during the 2008 primaries. As the late Barry Rubin noted in Silent Revolution, journalists abandoned their craft and worked to ensure the composite character’s election in 2008.

From then through 2016, establishment media served as sycophants to the composite character and inquisitors to his critics. The same dynamics are now on display in 2020, as Democrats deploy the massive voter fraud openly celebrated by Joe Biden. If the voter fraud succeeds, the result would not be the “healing” the Dreams author now promises going forward.

Democrats are already “archiving” Trump supporters and panting for an American gulag. An establishment media on board with identity fraud in 2008 and voter fraud in 2020 would look the other way or cheer the oppression against those they have already branded as white supremacists, Nazis and such.

In the current correlation of forces, the establishment media and deep state – particularly the Fatal Bureau of Investigation – stand arrayed against those who support the Constitution, the rule of law, and back their country as a beacon of liberty and opportunity.

At this writing there’s still reason to hope for the best, a true vote count and four more years for President Trump. On the other hand in 2020, the year of living dangerously, it is wise to prepare for the worst.

If Democrat voter fraud succeeds and the heat comes down, everybody will have to decide whether they go out with a bang or a whimper. As President Trump says, we’ll see what happens.

CAN YOU RECALL A SINGLE THING BARACK OBAMA DID FOR BLACK AMERICA DURING HIS 8 YEAR BANKSTER REGIME, OR SUBSEQUENTLY?

Obama Defames 'Millions of Americans' as Racists in New Memoir

By Jack Cashill

"For millions of Americans spooked by a Black man in the White House," writes Barack Obama in his new memoir, A Promised Land, "Donald Trump promised an elixir for their racial anxiety."

Rather than speak for the millions of Americans whom Barack Obama casually defamed, I am going to speak for the 130,000 or so residents of Chautauqua County, New York, a semi-rural "rust belt" county tucked away in the far southwest corner of western New York.

I know the county well.  I spend a good chunk of each year there and set my first published novel, 2006: A Chautauqua Rising, therein.  (Word to would-be writers: do not use names in book titles that no one can pronounce: sha-TAWK-wa).

In 2008, Mr. Obama, you won Chautauqua County.  In that the county is only 2 percent black, it was the white people of Chautauqua who elected you.  In that many residents have not seen a black American since the Buffalo Bills moved their training camp, "racial anxiety" is preposterously low on the list of local motivators.  You appeared just as black in 2008 as you did in 2012, and you scared no one.

High on the list of real anxieties was the economy.  The once prosperous county had been hemorrhaging jobs and people since 1970.  In 2008, with the economy collapsing, you promised "hope and change."  People ignored the details and put their trust in you.

In October 2012, after four years of left-leaning economic amateurism, the national unemployment rate stood at 7.9 percent, the worst "recovery" in our history.  It was higher still in Chautauqua County.

Months before the election, with Congress unable to pass a law giving relief to the so-called "DREAMers" — young people brought to this country illegally by their parents — you unilaterally decided to give as many as a million people relief from deportation proceedings, as well as the right to apply for work authorization.

You can imagine how well that decision set with the unemployed and under-employed in Chautauqua.  They did not have to wait until you said mockingly of Trump's ambition to bring back manufacturing jobs — "What magic wand do you have?" — to know that, for them, "hope" was an illusion and "change" was for the worse.

In 2012, Mitt Romney beat you by 8 percent in Chautauqua County.  Ask yourself, Mr. Obama, did Romney prevail because of the nation's dismal economic performance or because in 2011, Donald Trump "triggered a deep-seated panic" by "pedaling assertions that I had not been born in the United States and was thus an illegitimate president"?

As you may recall, Mr. Obama, early in your career you were the one who claimed in a promotional brochure put out by literary agency Acton & Dystel that you were "born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii."

For the record, Donald Trump never claimed you were born in Kenya.  To be sure, he questioned the legitimacy of your birth certificate and speculated on why you took such pains to keep it under wraps, but he never went beyond speculation.  His curiosity had nothing to do with race and everything to do with the fictional nativity story you had been pedaling since your emergence on the national stage.  For details of your real history, let me recommend my own book, Unmasking Obama.

Many Chautauquans voted for you in the hope that race relations would improve on your watch.  As you know, they collapsed.  In January 2009, 79 percent of whites and 64 percent of blacks held a favorable view of race relations in America.  By July 2013, those figures had fallen to 52 percent among whites and 38 percent among blacks.  This had nothing to do with Donald Trump and much to do with your Tourette's-like instinct to cite "race" as the cause of your own and your administration's failings.  If anything, your tics are becoming more obvious.

In 2016, the county that you carried in 2008 gave Trump a 20-plus margin over the very white Hillary Clinton.  Did her sex "panic" Chautauquans more than your race?  Or did they catch on that coastal elites had nothing but contempt for the "deplorables" in working-class America, what with the way they bitterly cling to their guns and religion?

In 2020, Chautauquans again gave Trump a 20-point margin (More than 30 percent before the mail-ins were counted).  In fact, the whole southern tier of New York, like the northern tier of Pennsylvania, had turned deep red.  This had absolutely nothing to do with you or with race, Mr. Obama, but everything to do with the fact that your party has written these "fragile" white people off.

Barack Obama owes the people of Chautauqua County an apology.  No, he owes the people of America an apology.  And he sure as hell owes Donald Trump an apology.  Thank God he didn't use the word "spooked."

JUDICIAL WATCH’S TEN MOST CORRUPT LIST

President Barack Obama: During his presidential campaign, President Obama promised to run an ethical and transparent administration. However, in his first year in office, the President has delivered corruption and secrecy, bringing Chicago-style political corruption to the White House. JUDICIAL WATCH

“Attorney General Eric Holder's tenure was a low point even within the disgraceful scandal-ridden Obama years.” DANIEL GREENFIELD / FRONTPAGE MAG

During his presidency, Obama bragged that his administration was “the only thing between [Wall Street] and the pitchforks.”

In fact, Obama handed the robber barons and outright criminals responsible for the 2008–09 financial crisis a multi-trillion-dollar bailout. His administration oversaw the largest redistribution of wealth in history from the bottom to the top one percent, spearheading the attack on the living standards of teachers and autoworkers.

The Republican staff of the US House Committee on Financial Services released a report Monday presenting its findings on why the Obama Justice Department and then-Attorney General Eric Holder chose not to prosecute the British-based HSBC bank for laundering billions of dollars for Mexican and Colombian drug cartels.

“This was not because of difficulties in securing indictments or convictions. On the contrary, Attorney General Eric Holder told a Senate committee in March of 2013 that the Obama administration chose not to prosecute the big banks or their CEOs because to do so might “have a negative impact on the national economy.”

Judicial Watch’s records request is designed to expose how California state legislators are wasting tax dollars to take care of another corrupt politician – Eric Holder – under the guise of resisting the rule of law on immigration and other matters,” stated Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton.  “His record at the Clinton and Obama Justice Departments demonstrates a willingness to bend the law in order to protect his political patrons.

Elizabeth Warren says she wants to get rid of corruption, but not once have I heard her complain about the massive corruption during the Obama years or at her precious CFPB, so she really doesn't care.  JACK HELLNER

And it all got much, much worse after 2008, when the schemes collapsed and, as Lemann points out, Barack Obama did not aggressively rein in Wall Street as Roosevelt had done, instead restoring the status quo ante even when it meant ignoring a staggering white-collar crime spree. RYAN COOPER

A new book savagely attacks Obama

from the left

By Andrea Widburg

Something has changed lately on the left.  Democrats should be riding high now because they control the federal government: they've got the White House; the House; the Senate (sort of, with the filibuster the fragile thread keeping them from total control); and a Supreme Court that, while ostensibly conservative, has a closet leftist chief justice and two remarkably cowed new "conservative" justices.  Nevertheless, they are an angry, fractious party.  Last week, the knives came out for Kamala Harris.  This coming week, a new book launches a scathing attack on that former secular saint, Barack Obama.

Since 2008, Barack Obama has been the Democrat party.  He was the president who could do no wrong.  Every political attack against him was discounted as "racism."  He was more charming, more intelligent, more emotionally attuned, more effective, and more just everything good than any man who had ever occupied the White House, including Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln combined.  (All of them were racists.)

When Trump came along, the Democrats and their media shills weren't merely offended by his politics.  In many ways, the gravest offense was that this loud, combative, conservative-governing orange man dared to step into a White House made hallowed by the presence of a man once hailed as a "magic negro" or another crucified Jesus.

Both Biden and Kamala got reverential treatment, but it was nothing like Obama.  Biden was grandfatherly, experienced, kind, and stable, and he'd learned his White House politics under Obama's aegis.  Kamala was brilliant, multi-racial and multi-cultural, female, and compassionate.  Kamala was sold especially hard because everyone understood that Biden, no matter what he said, wasn't in it for the long haul.  She was obviously going to be the real president, even before Biden inevitably withdrew and she got sworn in.

But as noted, something's been happening with the Democrats.  They should be a jubilant party joyously imposing Marxism on the land, but, instead, they're angry, and they're starting to turn on each other.  Just last week, Edward-Isaac Dovere, a longstanding author at The Atlantic, published a nasty attack on Kamala, although one phrased in polite terms.

Through anecdotes and quotes, Dovere reveals that Kamala is anti-social, socially awkward, bland, ineffective, unfocused, platitudinous, uninteresting, hostile to reporters, paranoid (she has an enemies list), and unable to hold onto her employees.  None of this surprises me.  My decades living and working in the Bay Area meant I'd heard rumors for years saying everything that Kamala offered politically came through her relationship with Willie Brown, a brilliant California politician.  Without Brown, she's nothing.

For The Atlantic, one of the most politically loyal outlets in America, to publish such this attack on someone who should be a Democrat darling was surprising.  More surprises arrived on Friday when the Daily Mail revealed that Edward-Isaac Dovere is back, this time with a new book describing Obama as a "parasite" sucking the Democrat party dry and leaving it with nothing.  Although the book is ostensibly about the 2020 campaign, it's Obama who springs into focus:

Barack Obama was a 'parasite' on the Democrat party who sucked it dry for his reelection and left it saddled with debt, a new book claims.

The former President used the party structure as a 'host' for his 2012 campaign for a second term then treated it like a 'husk' to be discarded with $2.4million in debt.

Obama's aloof demeanor and professorial detachment masked the reality that he was full of 'self-assured self-regard.'

He oversaw the 'pilfering of talent, money, resources, and purpose' away from the Democratic National Committee to his own reelection team.

[snip]

In a scathing portrait, Dovere, a journalist with The Atlantic, claims that Obama was so arrogant he believed that if he could have run in 2016 for a third term he could have beaten Trump.

Obama's ego was on full display on the golf course and he bragged that his Tweet sent after the Charlottesville far right rally in 2017 was liked more than anything Tweeted by Donald Trump.

[snip]

He writes that Obama's hubris peaked in 2015 when the Supreme Court upheld Obamacare, his signature healthcare law, and ruled that the Fourteenth Amendment requires all states to grant same-sex marriages.

[snip]

In actual fact, despite his 'beatification among Democrats', Obama 'inadvertently helped usher in what followed him', meaning Trump.

There is much more in the Daily Mail article about Obama's destructive arrogance, sense of entitlement, greed, and ego, as well as his obscene rants about Trump.  As far as I'm concerned, the damage he did to the Democrat brand is yet more evidence that America supported Trump, not Biden, in 2020.

The book is Battle for the Soul: Inside the Democrats' Campaigns to Defeat Trump, and it may end forever the Democrats' Obama worship.

Pollak: Barack Obama Himself Was the Threat to the Rule of Law

Former President Barack Obama warned Friday that the “rule of law is at risk” because former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn will no longer be prosecuted.

Obama’s remarks, leaked from a private conference call with members of something called the “Obama Alumni Association,” show a breathtaking lack of self-awareness.

Obama himself was the threat to the rule of law, both during his presidency and as it ended.

As Breitbart News has previously noted, Obama routinely violated the Constitution’s separation of powers, challenging America’s constitutional foundation in a way no president before him had done in peacetime.

“I’ve got a pen, and I’ve got a phone,” Obama said, threatening to use — and abuse — his executive power — rather than allow the constitutional process of legislation to proceed.

Here are just a few of Obama’s more egregious violations:

· Refusing to submit the Iran deal to the Senate for ratification

· Declaring the Senate in recess when it was not (struck down, later, in a 9-0 Supreme Court decision)

· Defying the courts when told to renew oil and gas activity in the Gulf of Mexico, or to stop giving amnesty to illegal aliens

· Threatening the Supreme Court after Citizens United, and before the Obamacare decision

· Altering Obamacare’s statutory deadline unilaterally

· Creating the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA) programs after admitting it was unconstitutional

· Trying to wipe out the coal industry

Moreover, the Flynn investigation itself undermined the rule of law by targeting a man the government knew was innocent of any crime. Similarly, Obama’s own effort to protect Hillary Clinton, and his administration’s attempt to undermine Trump through false allegations of “Russia collusion,” also violated the rule of law.

Last week it emerged that it was Obama himself who told then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates about Flynn’s lawful conversation with the Russian ambassador, which set the investigative wheels in motion.

Obama’s phony protest suggests he is feeling desperate as attention turns, finally, to his own role in the affair.

Unmasking Obama: The Fight to Tell the True Story of a Failed Presidency Hardcover – August 18, 2020

by Jack Cashill  (Author)

Jack Cashill’s Unmasking Obama By Thomas Lifson

To my surprise, Jack Cashill's new book, Unmasking Obama, couldn't be more relevant to the political struggle facing us today. In 2020, as in 2008 (and throughout the two Obama presidential terms), the key to political power is what must be called "information warfare" (my term, not Jack's) between the mighty establishment media and the feisty conservative alternative media, which Jack likens to the samizdat underground commentary in the old Soviet Union. It is the process of the unmasking of the phony propaganda peddled by the all-powerful establishment by the resource- and prestige-poor "Lilliputians" (an appropriation of Jonathan Swift's work that the satirist surely would approve of) that is the heart of the book. The narrative history presented in Unmasking Obama is captivating. Jack takes readers along with him as he was both a participant in the warfare and a historian of it, digging up parts of the elusive truth about the real Barack Obama in the face of derision and obstruction that came his way. But Jack is far from the sole hero of the story of the warfare. Because of his literary detective work, proving beyond a reasonable doubt that Bill Ayers wrote the autobiographical book, Dreams from My Father, that first established Obama as a serious intellect, Jack enjoyed access to many of the most formidable truth-tellers about Obama. The book's prologue, in fact, begins with a phone call Jack received in 2011 from a then little-known lawyer named Michael Cohen, acting as a lawyer for Donald Trump. Unmasking Obama takes the reader through the major aspects of the fraudulent picture of Obama that was painted by the media and political establishments and details how the truth was uncovered and often partially suppressed by the retaliatory efforts launched in response. It often resembles detective fiction in the drama of the struggle to get at the truth and the struggle to prevent that. I hesitate to call it beach reading, for it is not in any sense fluff, intended to while away time. But it is vastly entertaining and thought-provoking, and the 218 pages fly by rapidly. Today, exactly the same struggle is underway between the Lilliputians seeking to uncover who really is running the front-man candidacy of Joe Biden and the shadowy movement that is looting and destroying our cities and the coordinated might of the mass media that spends 95% of its time pushing a party line that Trump is an unprecedented threat to human civilization and Joe Biden an amiable and pragmatic centrist. Future historians, if there are any left still interested and able to dispassionately understand how America came to the current point of crisis, will find the story told in Unmasking Obama a very helpful guide. If journalism is the "first draft of history," Unmasking Obama is a well considered second draft, adding crucial perspective and assessment of the consequences of the real-time reports. You don't have to wait that long, though. It went on sale last week, and is well worth your time.
